 Self Help Services

Mental health Self-help centers provide programs and resources not generally available to clients, including state-of-the-art technologies in order to:

Disseminate information; encourage recreation and social activities; educate ourselves, and facilitate communication with each other and with the larger community

Strive for inclusiveness by respecting the uniqueness of each client and insuring that each client's input is valued

Advocate for change in the mental health system and the greater integration of clients into the community

Provide support for clients with respect to their basic needs and offer opportunities to express their creativity and to earn income from such activities

Strive to be readily accessible by public transportation or otherwise provide for the transportation needs of clients

Develop a unique, culturally competent response to the client community at each center and cooperate with other centers in our general mission

Remain open to creative ways to further our mission
